The Berkeley Beacon
From becoming a staff writer my first semester to serving as a Managing editor for a full year my junior year, I have loved my time work at Emerson College's only student newspaper, The Berkeley Beacon.
As deputy campus news editor in Spring 2025, I covered stories important to the Emerson community: faculty assemblies, protest policies, and sports teams' historic firsts.
In my three semesters as an opinion editor, I sought out new writers and expanded the breadth of op-eds, letters to the editor, and editorials.
Overseeing layout for two semesters pushed me to increase my graphic design capabilities, designing The Beacon's 62-page magazine in Spring 2026.
As Multimedia Managing editor in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, I created social media posts daily to bring our articles to Instagram in a readable and visually appealing way.

KTBS 3 - Shreveport, LA
As a summer intern for KTBS - TV in Shreveport, LA the summer after my freshman year of undergrad, I had the great privilege of writing 22 web articles. This internship introduced me to the world of broadcast journalism. I wrote scripts for the 5pm news as well as created my own graphics for a few stories.

Bachelor of Science, Journalism
I am currently earning my Bachelor of Science in Journalism at Emerson College in Boston, MA. While learning skills in storytelling across various mediums — audio, podcast, and video — I had a heavy focus in print journalism.
I have also worked for the Journalism Department since my freshman year, sending weekly newsletters and organizing department-wide events.
